Sacred Pelvis — The Centre of Groove
A 3-hour OM Flow journey into the pelvis, rhythm, sensuality and embodied expression.
The pelvis is one of the most powerful centres of movement in our body, and it is also an area we may have learned to control, disconnect from or hide.
For many men, cultural conditioning can create tension, shame or difficulty around softness, pleasure and vulnerability. This workshop is an invitation to explore a different relationship with the pelvis: not only as a sexual area, but as a centre of rhythm, vitality, sensuality, grounding and creative expression.
We will explore the difference between sexual and sensual energy, and how we can honour both organically, without judgement or feeling the need to act out something sexual as a way to mask or protect what we are actually feeling.
Through the OM Flow approach, you will explore:
Release — self-massage, body awareness and techniques for softening tension.
Rhythm & Groove — pelvic mobility, repetitive rhythmic patterns and organic movement, reconnecting with the pelvis as a centre that can lead the rest of the body.
Sensuality— developing sensitivity, presence and a deeper relationship with pleasure, especially while honouring and respecting it when dancing more intimately with each other.
Improvisation— guided explorations to listen to your pelvis, follow its impulses and discover your own movement language within the collective groove we create together.
We will move from individual exploration into rhythm, groove and shared space, always reconnecting to the question:
What happens when you soften control in the pelvis and start listening to and sensing it?**
This is not about how your pelvis should move.
It is about discovering how it wants to move when you relax into it.
