On April 22nd, we gather for a tea ceremony as an introduction to tea meditation.

Ceremonies teach us to remember to remember. In a world of constant movement, this is a simple return—to stillness, to nature, and to ourselves. The tea ceremony is an ancient practice found in many cultures, where tea is understood as a medicinal plant for body and soul, and as a bridge between human beings and nature.

In this session, we sit together in shared silence and drink several rounds of bowl tea. Without effort or striving, the mind settles, the body softens, and attention returns to the present moment. Tea becomes the guide—bringing clarity, grounding, and quiet awareness.

After the ceremony, there will be a contact improvisation jam. You are warmly invited to stay for both. The stillness of tea and the movement of dance naturally support and complete each other.
